QIP Accreditation Explained

QIP accreditation recognises private dental practices that have demonstrated an ability to integrate NSQHS standards as a routine aspect of their practice culture and patient safety. NSQHS Standards are instituted in accord with healthcare regulations passed down by both State and Federal governments. The standards are applied to healthcare services as a nationally consistent code of practice in order to raise the level of dental care in Australia.

To a patient, it is sometimes difficult to access the standards of a clinic based on personal judgement or word of mouth. The accreditation serves as a professional endorsement – as well as added assurance – to both patients and staff that the practice is committed to safety, quality and excellence.
